Rotiras is a fully automated recirculating system (RAS), specifically designed for the intensive production of rotifers—an essential resource in larval feeding for aquaculture. Developed by experts with over 25 years of experience in marine cultivation, the system ensures consistent output, high reliability, and low resource consumption.
With a culture volume of 1,000 liters, Rotiras integrates mechanical filtration, biofiltration, and an efficient protein skimming system, maintaining optimal water parameters. The temperature is automatically regulated based on the rotifer species, and the entire system runs on a single recirculation pump—simple, efficient, and economical.
Its compact and robust design makes it easy to install and transport, making it ideal for commercial farms, hatcheries, or research units that require a constant and reliable source of rotifers. The system performs efficiently even in limited spaces.
Rotiras enables continuous production, with a capacity of up to 1 billion rotifers per day. The average density reaches 2,000 rotifers/ml, with 24/7 harvesting. Thanks to the ceramic stone aeration system, it operates without supplemental oxygen up to this density, ensuring a stable and well-oxygenated environment.
The system comes with standard operating protocols (SOPs), and upon request, Ostryl offers short-, medium-, or long-term technical support for efficient integration into any facility.
