Roll’Oyster is a solution designed for farms seeking to automate the oyster farming process, while also improving quality and efficiency. The system simulates the natural tidal cycle in a controlled manner by rotating and exposing the baskets to air in clearly defined stages. This process promotes optimal shell and muscle development in oysters, without requiring constant human intervention.
Its operation is based on three automated phases – submersion (feeding), exposure (emergence), and rotation. The alternation of these stages creates conditions similar to those in nature, encouraging balanced and healthy growth.
The system’s modular design reduces the need for manual labor and helps lower operational costs. It is compatible with all growth stages, from pre-growth to full maturity, and can be used in both small farms and large-scale commercial operations.
Each module contains 16 baskets, with a capacity of 6 to 8 kilograms of oysters per basket. The system performs optimally in tanks with a minimum depth of 75 cm and features low energy consumption, with a maximum power requirement of just 1.5 kW. Built from durable, easy-to-maintain HDPE, Roll’Oyster is simple to install and integrates seamlessly into existing infrastructure.
