Aquaplus, Oxygen Meter for Aquaculture, Dissolved Oxygen and Conductivity
Aquaplus is a compact oxygen meter for aquaculture, with an optical dissolved oxygen sensor.
In addition to dissolved oxygen, it measures conductivity and temperature, and the conductivity sensor allows it to calculate salinity and automatically correct the oxygen value.
It is suitable for farms that need a simple and accurate instrument for the most important parameter.
- Optical DO sensor, luminescence, no electrolyte, no water circulation required
- Infrequent calibration, every 3 to 6 months, caps lasting over 2 years
- Portable, with GPS handheld device or Bluelink Bluetooth adapter
What Aquaplus Measures
Aquaplus measures dissolved oxygen, electrical conductivity and temperature with a single probe. The optical oxygen sensor works by luminescence and does not consume oxygen, so it does not need water circulation for a stable reading. From conductivity, the probe also calculates salinity, which it uses to automatically correct the oxygen value.
In addition to the three direct parameters, conductivity is used to derive salinity, total dissolved solids (TDS), resistivity and seawater specific gravity. This means a single measurement gives you a complete overview of the water condition.
The Optical Oxygen Sensor, Why It Matters
The optical method for measuring dissolved oxygen has practical advantages over the older galvanic method. The sensor does not consume oxygen through the membrane, so it does not require moving water for an accurate value.
For a farmer, this means less time spent on maintenance and more confidence in the readings, including in still water.
No Water Circulation Required
The sensor does not consume oxygen, so it provides stable readings even in still water.
Low Maintenance
Infrequent calibration, every 3 to 6 months, and replaceable caps lasting over 2 years.
Combined DO/EC/°C Sensor
Optical module, stainless steel ring conductivity sensor and temperature sensor, with salinity compensation.
How It Is Used in the Field
Aquaplus is used with the GPS handheld device, which displays values on site and records the position of each data set. The data can later be exported and viewed on a map. For users who prefer working from a phone, the probe can also be used with the Bluelink Bluetooth adapter.
The delivered package includes the probe with a 3 m cable, the handheld device and a rigid transport case.

Suitable Farms
Aquaplus is suitable for farms that mainly monitor dissolved oxygen and salinity: trout farms, fish farms with tanks and oyster lagoons. If you also need pH, turbidity or other parameters, a multiparameter probe is the more suitable choice.

Frequently Asked Questions
What parameters does the Aquaplus probe measure?
Aquaplus masoara oxigen dizolvat, conductivitate electrica si temperatura. Din conductivitate deriva si salinitatea, TDS-ul, rezistivitatea si densitatea specifica a apei de mare. Senzorul de conductivitate ii permite sa corecteze automat valoarea oxigenului in functie de salinitate.
How often does Aquaplus need calibration?
The optical oxygen sensor in Aquaplus keeps its calibration longer than traditional galvanic sensors and usually requires calibration every 3 to 6 months. The sensor caps are replaceable and last over 2 years. Calibration is done with the handheld device supplied with the probe.
Does Aquaplus work in still water?
Yes. The optical sensor does not consume oxygen and does not need water circulation for a stable reading, unlike galvanic sensors. This makes it suitable for tanks and lagoons where the water is not constantly moving.
Can I use Aquaplus with my phone?
Yes. In addition to the GPS handheld device, the probe can be used with the Bluelink Bluetooth adapter, which sends live data to a phone app and allows calibration and automatic logging.
